Working principle of parallel operation of generator sets

In the mode of generator set and mains power supply, when the mains power is cut off, the mains switch will automatically trip. At this time, a mains power loss signal and a mains power switch trip signal will be sent from the mains switch to the controllers of each unit. If the controllers are in automatic mode, after receiving the start signal, the controllers will delay for a few seconds (adjustable for 0-30S) to start the pre supply lubricating oil system of the unit, and then delay for another few seconds (adjustable for 0-30S) to start the unit. After each unit operates normally, the voltage and frequency are consistent. Firstly, the first unit automatically closes, while the other unit is automatically tracked, synchronously closed, and connected to the grid through an automatic synchronization tracking system. After the unit is successfully connected to the grid, each unit automatically distributes its load through an automatic load distributor.

When the mains power comes on, the mains power conversion switch cabinet sends an electrical signal and the mains power switch closing signal to each generator controller, causing Dongguan generators to open and delay shutdown, thereby achieving automatic startup, automatic grid connection, and automatic unloading and shutdown.

In the parallel mode of the generator set, if the controller is in automatic mode, after receiving the start signal, each unit will start. The first unit will automatically close. When this unit operates normally, the other unit will automatically track and synchronize the closing based on the electrical parameters of the busbar. After parallel operation, each unit automatically distributes load and reactive power through an automatic load distributor. After the start signal disappears, the unit automatically unloads and stops.
